Basketball Game Preview: Pleasant Grove Vikings vs. Alta Hawks

The Pleasant Grove Vikings are headed away from home for the first time to take on the Alta Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Tuesday, Pleasant Grove lost to Bingham at home by a 46-32 margin. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Alta was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They received a blow as they fell 58-42 to Bountiful.

Alta's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Pleasant Grove, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

Pleasant Grove didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Alta in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 57-52 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Pleasant Grove since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
