Soccer Recap: Richland Northeast Takes a Loss

Richland Northeast was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the York Cougars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against York this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 last Monday.

Richland Northeast's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for York, their win ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-12.

Looking ahead, Richland Northeast will look to defend their home pitch on Friday against South Pointe at 7:00 p.m. As for York, they will head out to challenge Union County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. York will be up against Union County's rather soft defense (which has allowed 7.71 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
