Basketball Recap: Mountain View-Gotebo's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Thursday

After flying high against Fox two weeks ago, Mountain View-Gotebo came back down to earth. The Mountain View-Gotebo Tigers took a 46-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of Balko/Forgan. The Tigers' loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Balko/Forgan found their leader in sophomore Halle Littau, who posted 11 points and six steals. Littau continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Haylee Taylor, who earned six points and three blocks.

Mountain View-Gotebo's defeat dropped their record down to 18-4. As for Balko/Forgan, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-7 record this season.

Mountain View-Gotebo does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Balko/Forgan, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 50-35 loss against Geronimo on the 28th.
