Lafayette County entered their tilt with Emerson on Tuesday with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. They took down the Emerson Pirates 47-29. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 63-48 win back in December of 2024.

It was another big night for Atesa Johnson, who posted 16 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Lainey Nutt, who put up nine points and three steals.

Lafayette County's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.5 points over those games. As for Emerson, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 19-6.
