Soccer Recap: Breese Central Comes Up Short

Breese Central lost against Freeburg back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Cougars came up short against the Midgets, falling 7-2. Breese Central were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 5-0.

Gavin Vetter and Leo Frederking scored both of Breese Central's goals, bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.

Breese Central has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for Freeburg, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-6.

Looking ahead, Breese Central will host East Alton-Wood River at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Freeburg, they will challenge Mater Dei at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
