Softball Recap: Torrey Pines Comes Up Short

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Torrey Pines and Sage Creek, and Sage Creek kept the tradition alive. The Falcons fell 16-12 to the Bobcats on Friday. The Falcons were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bobcats earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

Becca Clayton was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Seiyoung Bae was another key player, going 3-for-5 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Torrey Pines' loss dropped their record down to 10-9-1. As for Sage Creek, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-12.

Torrey Pines has already played their next game, an 8-4 defeat against Point Loma on the 4th. As for Sage Creek, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 21-0 victory against Coastal Academy on the 4th.
