Softball Recap: Maconaquah Braves vs. Northwestern Tigers

Maconaquah lost against Northwestern back in May of 2021, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Maconaquah Braves fell just short of the Northwestern Tigers by a score of 8-7. Maconaquah has struggled against Northwestern recently, as their match on Thursday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Blayklee Buman was huge no matter where she played even without the win. She struck out six batters over 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits (and only one walk). Buman has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive pitching appearances. Buman was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.
