Softball Recap: Willow Canyon Takes a Loss

Willow Canyon and Desert Mountain squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Willow Canyon had to settle for second. They lost 10-3 to the Wolves. The loss continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Wolves: they've now lost five in a row.

Willow Canyon saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Easton Spriggs, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one double.

Willow Canyon's defeat dropped their record down to 19-10-1. As for Desert Mountain, the victory was the 24th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 27-1-1.

Willow Canyon does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Desert Mountain, they will face off against Verrado at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Vipers will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something the Wolves surely won't give up without a fight.
