Basketball Game Preview: Hanford Falcons vs. Hermiston Bulldogs

The Hanford Falcons will face off against the Hermiston Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses apiece.

On Tuesday, Hanford was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 75-70 to Walla Walla.

Meanwhile, Hermiston suffered their closest loss since December 12, 2023 on Tuesday. They fell just short of Chiawana by a score of 52-49. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 153rd, while the Riverhawks are ranked 35th).

Hermiston now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Hanford, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-13.

Things could have been worse for Hanford, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 68-53 loss to Hermiston in their previous meeting back in December of 2024.
