Richfield and DeLaSalle are an even 3-3 against one another since May of 2015, but likely not for long. The Spartans will host the Islanders at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.

Richfield's last matchup with St. Anthony Village could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Friday. The Spartans lost 12-5 to the Huskies.

Jayden Anderson was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Cason Carter, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask DeLaSalle). Everything went their way against Blake on Saturday as they made off with a 20-12 win. With that victory, the Islanders brought their scoring average up to 6.8 runs per game.

Saul Garr was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over 5.2 innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits (and not a single walk). He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

In other batting news, Andrew Faust was a standout: he got on base in four of his six plate appearances with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. Rourick Gulbrandson was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4.

DeLaSalle always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .574. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Richfield's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for DeLaSalle, the win got them back to even at 3-3.
