Largo is 0-10 against Clearwater since April of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. The Packers will welcome the Tornadoes at 7:00 p.m. Largo will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
Last Wednesday, Largo was able to grind out a solid victory over Shorecrest Prep, taking the game 5-2.
Laila Weber spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on five hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than ten strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Miranda Rollins was incredible, scoring a run and stealing four bases while going 3-for-4. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Mia Kabakov, who scored a run while going 1-for-4.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Clearwater, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Indian Rocks Christian an 11-0 shutout on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Tornadoes, who have now won eight games by six runs or more so far this season.
Kabella Corning made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Corning was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 3-for-4.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Juleah Patterson, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jadah Nicholls, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Clearwater always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .613. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Largo pushed their record up to 12-4 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Clearwater, their win bumped their record up to 10-7.
Largo's speedy runners might be the difference in Tuesday's contest. The Packers have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.6 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Clearwater, though, as they've been averaging only 1.4 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Largo continue to outrun the ball?
