Recap: Collinsville Kahoks vs. Mascoutah Indians
If the Collinsville Kahoks were feeling good off their 59-37 takedown of the Father McGivney Catholic Griffins on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Collinsville fell to Mascoutah 50-46. Collinsville lost against Mascoutah in their previous head to head back in November of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 61-40 score last time.
Despite the loss, Collinsville still got an impressive performance from Talesha Gilmore, who scored 17 points along with 9 rebounds. Gilmore scored a full 37% of Collinsville's points, the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Karley Call, who scored 9 points.
Collinsville has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season. As for Mascoutah, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Collinsville will face off against Belleville East at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mascoutah, they will head out on the road to face off against Highland at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
