The scorekeeper got an easy start on Monday as neither East Central nor Lawrenceburg made it on the board until the sixth inning. The Trojans narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Tigers 2-1. The Trojans haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

East Central's win was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Noah Long, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

East Central's victory bumped their record up to 14-7. As for Lawrenceburg, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-8.

Looking ahead, East Central will take on Columbus East at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in the Trojans' favor as the squad sits on six straight wins at home while the Olympians have been banged up by nine consecutive losses on the road. As for Lawrenceburg, they will square off against Rushville at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
