Softball Recap: Easley Comes Up Short

Easley had lost five straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 5-15 to make it six. They came up short against the Hillcrest Rams, falling 10-0. Having soared to a lofty 22 runs in the game before, the Green Wave's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

As for Hillcrest, their record is now 13-11. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by six runs or more this season.

For Hillcrest's part, Riley Ramsey was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI and two doubles. Another player making a difference was Skyla Benton, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Easley will square off against Pickens at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Hillcrest, they will challenge Fountain Inn at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Rams' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Fury have averaged an impressive 8.6 runs per game this season.
