Marsing faced Nampa Christian in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Huskies sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 victory over the Trojans. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 5-4 victory last Monday.

Jace Chadez was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, Dresden Wood was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases.

Marsing is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season. As for Nampa Christian, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 16-5.

As of now, neither Marsing nor the Trojans have any future games scheduled.
