Fort Dorchester is a perfect 3-0 against Goose Creek since March of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Fort Dorchester Patriots will square off against the Goose Creek Gators at 7:00 p.m. Fort Dorchester will be coming into the game with an undefeated record on the line.
Fort Dorchester will bounce into Tuesday's matchup after beating Stratford, who they had gone 0-5 against in their five prior meetings. Fort Dorchester was the clear victors by a 17-0 margin over Stratford last Saturday. Considering the Patriots have won four contests by more than seven runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Mila Lorenzano made a splash no matter where she played. She pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI. Those two hits gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Hailey Greatrex, who fired off two home runs, three runs, and four RBI while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in hits. Another player making a difference was Destiny Copeland, who scored three runs while going 3-for-3.
Fort Dorchester always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .750. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Goose Creek came into Friday's game having lost nine straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Myrtle Beach on Friday, sneaking past 7-6.
Goose Creek's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Jaionna Wheatley, who went 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
Fort Dorchester's record now sits at 5-0. As for Goose Creek, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
Fort Dorchester took their victory against Goose Creek in their previous meeting back in February by a conclusive 13-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for Fort Dorchester since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
