Basketball Recap: Ridgeview Ravens vs. Bend Lava Bears
Even though the Ridgeview Ravens have not done well against the Bend Lava Bears recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Everything went Ridgeview's way against the Lava Bears as the Ravens made off with a 56-35 victory. Given Ridgeview's advantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 90th, while the Lava Bears are ranked 224th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Will Albert and Spencer Dildine certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Albert scored 12 points along with six rebounds, while Dildine scored five points.
Ridgeview's victory bumped their record up to 10-8. As for Bend, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-18.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ridgeview will take on the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Bend, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Storm at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Summit will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.
