Basketball Recap: Bismarck Comes Up Short

Bismarck was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost to the Central Rebels at home by a 57-40 margin. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 321st, while the Rebels are ranked 27th).

Despite the loss, Bismarck still got an impressive performance from Ashley Hawkins, who went 7 of 9 on her way to 17 points along with eight boards and three steals. Hawkins is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Kinsey Hubbs, who posted ten points and seven rebounds.

Bismarck's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Central, their victory bumped their record up to 9-2.

Bismarck has already played their next game (against Perryville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Central has also has no score uploaded for their next match, this one against West County.
