Basketball Recap: Northwestern's Win Ends 13-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Northwestern came into Wednesday's contest having lost six straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They strolled past the Indian Land Warriors with points to spare on Wednesday, taking the game 41-25. For the Trojans, this counts as revenge for the 43-29 victory the Warriors walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2024.

Despite the defeat, Indian Land had strong showings from Kaitlyn Knoll, who posted seven points in addition to eight rebounds and five steals, and Jordyn Johnson, who earned eight points and three steals. Knoll has been hot recently, having posted eight or more boards the last four times she's played.

Northwestern's win ended a 13-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-12. As for Indian Land, their loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-16.

Northwestern will challenge Clover at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Clover will roll in looking for their 13th straight victory, something Northwestern surely won't give up without a fight. As for Indian Land, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Nation Ford at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.
