Cullman dropped down to 19-5 on Tuesday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Mortimer Jordan Blue Devils by a score of 7-6. The Bearcats were not able to make up for their loss to the Blue Devils from their previous meeting back in April of 2025.

Carson Stancil was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs. Cross Bowen was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

As for Mortimer Jordan, their victory was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 25-5. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.4 runs over those games.

On Mortimer Jordan's side, they let Kamari Nation and John Owen Dean run wild. Nation went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run, while Dean went 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs. Those three hits gave Nation a new career-high.

While Cullman had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
