Basketball Recap: STEMCivics Comes Up Short

STEMCivics was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They were dealt an 89-59 loss at the hands of the Delran Bears. While losing is never fun, STEMCivics can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 404th, while Delran is ranked 197th).

STEMCivics' defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Delran, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-4.

STEMCivics will challenge St. Joseph at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Delran, they will take on Doane Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Delran knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Doane Academy likes a good challenge.
