 A big part of St. Mary's  victory came down to the chemistry between  Luke Horn and his top target  Ezekiel Chavez. Horn threw for 203 yards and two  touchdowns while  Chavez picked up 111 receiving yards and a pair of  scores. Those  111  receiving yards gave  Chavez a new career-high.
Meanwhile, while ALA - West Foothills put up plenty of  points on Friday, the same  can't be said for Thunderbird. The Guardians took their  game  with ease, bagging  a  35-0 win over the Titans. The Guardians might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by 25  points or more this season.
St. Mary's better focus on containing  Kenyon Rosenthall and  Carlos Serrano as the pair were huge in ALA - West Foothills' win. Rosenthall rushed for 124 yards and a pair of  TDs on only 13 carries, while  Serrano threw for 119 yards and two  touchdowns. ALA - West Foothills is 4-2 when  Rosenthall posts 100 or  more  rushing yards, but 1-2 otherwise. Another big playmaker for the Guardians was  Cole Nuanez, who returned a punt for a touchdown.
