A feisty cat fight will be fought as Halls Tigers challenge Trinity Christian Academy Lions at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Halls is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4 runs per game this season.

Halls' pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 12-0 margin over West Carroll. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

Carrlee Riddick was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with four RBI.

In other batting news, Jayla Cobb was excellent, scoring three runs and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Rayna Watkins, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 17 runs the game before, Trinity Christian Academy was a bit more limited in their contest on Tuesday. They came up short against Bolivar Central, falling 10-2.

Abby Davis was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run was her first of the season.

Halls' win was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for Trinity Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Halls might still be hurting after the 10-2 loss they got from Trinity Christian Academy when the teams last played back in April of 2023. Can Halls avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
