Recap: Wamego Red Raiders vs. Bonner Springs Braves
The Wamego Red Raiders suffered their closest defeat yet this season on Saturday. They fell just short of Bonner Springs by a score of 45-43. Wamego has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Bonner Springs found their leader in underclassman Jackson Nez, who scored 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Corey Rolfe jr., who scored nine points.
Wamego's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Bonner Springs, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.
Wamego will be playing at home against Louisburg at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Louisburg is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. As for Bonner Springs, they will head out on the road to take on Turner at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Turner will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Kansas Rankings (they are ranked 232nd, while Bonner Springs is ranked 101st).
