Volleyball Recap: Burton Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Burton took on Cypress Woods on Friday. The Panthers fell 2-0 to the Wildcats. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Their offense was headlined by Aerynn Huntsman and Lexi Broesche, who picked up three kills apiece. They got some help from Adison Harmel and her ten assists. Finally, Kinsey Lunbeck kept Burton's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Burton's defeat dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Cypress Woods, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.

Burton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Conroe on the 23rd. As for Cypress Woods, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Klein Oak on the 23rd.
