Thales Academy Apex came tearing into Thursday's contest with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Neuse Christian Academy Lions 3-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in August.

Thales Academy Apex's got stronger as the match went on, holding Neuse Christian Academy to fewer and fewer points set over set. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-23, 25-21.

Thales Academy Apex's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Julia Sheng led the charge by getting 24 digs and two aces. That's the most digs Sheng has posted since back in August. Ellie Hutchinson was another key player, getting 22 assists and four aces.
