Basketball Recap: Taylor Dye Key Part of a Team Effort in Tigers Win

Twinsburg hadn't done well against Stow-Munroe Falls recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Twinsburg Tigers walked away with a 44-34 win over the Stow-Munroe Falls Bulldogs. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 74th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 232nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Twinsburg to victory, but perhaps none more so than Taylor Dye, who posted 15 points. Dye continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Mackenzie Sweeney was another key player, going 5 for 9 en route to 13 points.

The victory made it two in a row for Twinsburg and bumps their season record up to 12-5. As for Stow-Munroe Falls, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season.

Twinsburg wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 30-25 win against Wadsworth on the 1st. As for Stow-Munroe Falls, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 49-37 loss against Hudson on the 1st.
