Football Recap: Colton Takes a Loss + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Colton can now relate to. They were just a hair shy of victory on Friday and fell 13-12 to the Bellflower Buccaneers. The Yellowjackets were red-hot offensively heading into the matchup (they scored no less than 31 points in the three contests prior), but the Buccaneers' defense proved too tough.

Colton's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Koa Regalado, who threw for 97 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only six passes.

The critical scores for Bellflower came from Austin Miller and Omari Linton.

With the loss, Colton broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-6. As for Bellflower, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.

Colton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bellflower, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 17-14 defeat against Santa Paula on the 21st.
