National Cathedral faced School Without Walls in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. National Cathedral never let School Without Walls get on the board and left with an 18-0 victory. Considering National Cathedral has won five contests by more than seven runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Ryan Walker and Molly Doster were major factors no matter where they played. On the mound, Walker pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Doster tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Walker has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. At bat, Walker got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Doster got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three RBI.

In other batting news, National Cathedral got a big performance out of Talia Schvimmer, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Viola Sinbondit, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and two RBI.

National Cathedral is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for School Without Walls, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-5.
