Volleyball Recap: Soquel Snaps Three-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Soquel won the last time they faced Mt. Madonna and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Knights walked away with a 3-1 win over the Hawks.

Soquel had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 16-25, 25-18, 25-13, 25-17.

Nathan McCarthy paced Soquel's offense, picking up 22 kills. McCarthy got some help from Isaac Koontz and his 32 assists.

Soquel's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 13-11. As for Mt. Madonna, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8.

Soquel didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Santa Cruz on the 24th. As for Mt. Madonna, they will take on San Lorenzo Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
