Softball Recap: Pius XI Catholic Has No Trouble Against Brookfield Academy

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Waukesha West, Pius XI Catholic was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They blew past the Brookfield Academy Blue Knights 14-5. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Popes as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Pius XI Catholic picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 3-14. As for Brookfield Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-7.

Looking ahead, Pius XI Catholic will venture away from home to challenge Wisconsin Lutheran at 4:30 p.m. on the 20th. As for Brookfield Academy, they will welcome Catholic Central at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Hilltoppers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.77 runs per game on average), something the Blue Knights will no doubt try to take advantage of.
