Maddox Meyer leads a balanced attack to beat Nebraska City

Recap: Malcolm Clippers vs. Nebraska City Pioneers

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Ashland-Greenwood, the Malcolm Clippers were happy to have found some success on Thursday. They put the hurt on Nebraska City with a sharp 60-38 victory. The high-flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Malcolm considering their 24-point performance the matchup before.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Malcolm to victory, but perhaps none more so than Maddox Meyer, who scored 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Carson Frank, who scored 12 points.

Despite the loss, Nebraska City still got an impressive performance from Daniel Adanza, who scored 11 points. Another player making a difference was Kalan Fritch, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds.

Malcolm has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. As for Nebraska City, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-17.

Malcolm will be playing at home against Centennial at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Nebraska (Malcolm is ranked 55th, while Centennial is ranked 72nd). As for Nebraska City, they will head out on the road to challenge Conestoga at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
