Football Recap: Brennan Pak Key Part of Team Effort in Falcons Win + How To Watch

After only six points in their last game, Saratoga made sure to put some points up on the board against Monta Vista on Friday. The Falcons put the hurt on the Matadors with a sharp 31-6 victory. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Falcons had established a 22-point advantage.

Saratoga's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brennan Pak led the charge by rushing for 155 yards and one TD on only 14 carries, while also picking up 40 receiving yards and one touchdown. Pak didn't just play on offense: he also picked up a sack and made ten total tackles (2.0 for loss). Another player making a difference was Anson Hulme, who rushed for 81 yards and one score.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Saratoga was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 295 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in October of 2024.

Saratoga didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. Hulme picked up that interception and then proceeded to rub salt in the wound by taking it back the other way for a touchdown. He got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Despite the loss, Monta Vista still got an impressive performance from Graham Ischo, who rushed for 164 yards and one TD on only 13 carries. Ischo's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 117 rushing yards dating back to last season.

Saratoga's record is now 3-1. As for Monta Vista, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Saratoga wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Jefferson on the 2nd. As for Monta Vista, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 35-0 defeat against Homestead on the 2nd.
