For the first time this season, North Penn will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will host the Central Bucks East Patriots at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are still undefeated (North Penn has five wins , while Central Bucks East has three).
Last Thursday, North Penn made easy work of Wilson and carried off an 8-1 win. Considering the Knights have won three contests by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Jake Nunn looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Logan Waynick, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Joshua Martinell, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.
Central Bucks East not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since May 8, 2024. Everything went their way against Council Rock South as Central Bucks East made off with a 17-10 victory.
Mike Scafidi looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits.
On the hitting side, Tyler Muzsi was a standout: he scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Nolan Behm, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4.
Central Bucks East was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .441. The last time their batting average was this high was back in May of 2024.
North Penn's win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-0. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Central Bucks East, their win bumped their record up to 3-0.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. North Penn hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .443. However, it's not like Central Bucks East struggles in that department as they've averaged .366. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
