Preview: Nova Titans vs. South Broward Bulldogs

Nova has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the South Broward Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Friday, Nova earned a 46-33 win over Deerfield Beach. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points Nova has scored all year.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Nova to victory, but perhaps none more so than J'Yan Tyrell, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 16 rebounds. The contest was Tyrell's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Kyra Paul, who scored nine points along with nine rebounds and four steals.

Meanwhile, South Broward came tearing into Monday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 43 points) and they left with even more momentum. They claimed a resounding 71-27 win over Cooper City at home. Considering South Broward has won five matches by more than 25 points this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

South Broward's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Jamesha Card, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds, and Fabiana Poindujour, who shot 4-for-8 from downtown and dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 assists. The matchup was Card's sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jazmine Jones, who scored eight points along with six steals.

Nova pushed their record up to 6-1 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. As for South Broward, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1.

Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as both teams are some of the highest scoring teams in the league. Nova hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having only averaged 60.1 points per game. However, it's not like South Broward struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 59.8 points per game. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can run the score up higher.

Nova was dealt a bruising 61-29 defeat at the hands of South Broward in their previous matchup back in February. The match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Nova was down 41-17.
