Recap: Charles Page Sandites vs. Ada Cougars
The third road game was the charm for the Charles Page Sandites, as they earned their first road win of the season. They took down Ada 51-35 on Saturday. For Charles Page, this counts as revenge for the 46-43 defeat Ada walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2023.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Charles Page to victory, but perhaps none more so than Deke Thompson, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds. Thompson has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last eight times he's played. Another player making a difference was Kason Evans, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds.
Carter Colombe and Devon Maccollister certainly did their best on Saturday to try and avoid the loss. Colombe scored nine points along with eight rebounds, while Maccollister scored 12 points. Keith Cook was another key contributor, scoring six points along with two steals.
Charles Page's win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 7-3. As for Ada, their loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 9-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Charles Page will challenge Bartlesville at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Bartlesville is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home. As for Ada, Ada and Seminole will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 12th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Seminole will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Oklahoma Rankings (they are ranked 315th, while Ada is ranked 51st).
