Basketball Game Preview: South Walton Seahawks vs. Rickards Raiders

The South Walton Seahawks are taking a road trip to square off against the Rickards Raiders at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in South Walton's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three contests.

South Walton is headed into the matchup having just posted their closest win since December 12, 2024 on Tuesday. They skirted past Arnold 62-60. Given the Seahawks' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 189th, while the Marlins are ranked 380th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Rickards' good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 61-52 to Florida State University High School.

South Walton is on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 18 games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.3 points per game. As for Rickards, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-9.
