Volleyball Recap: Hubbard Comes Up Short

Hubbard was the 2-1 winner over Amundsen when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Greyhounds fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 2-1 on Saturday.

Edgar Orozco paced Hubbard's offense, picking up five kills. Orozco got some help from Isaiah Jauregui and his nine assists.

Hubbard's defeat dropped their record down to 13-6-2. As for Amundsen, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season.

Hubbard wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 1-1 draw against Schurz on the 17th. As for Amundsen, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Chicago Washington on the 17th.
