Football Recap: Josey Comes Up Short

If Josey was riding high fresh off their 38-14 takedown of Twiggs County last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Eagles were outmatched by the Fox Creek Predators and fell 40-6. The game marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Leading Fox Creek to victory were Bryson Crawford and Nate Owens. Crawford rushed for 120 yards and two TDs, while Owens rushed for 87 yards on only nine carries. Crawford is crushing it when it comes to rushing touchdowns: he's punched in at least two every time he's taken the field this season. Brandon Wallace got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Josey's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Fox Creek, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Josey wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 28-8 loss against Butler on the 26th. As for Fox Creek, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 55-8 victory against Williston-Elko on the 26th.
