Basketball Recap: Riverton Beats Cyprus for Their Third Straight Victory

Riverton extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Maggie Hamblin. The Silverwolves breezed past the Cyprus Pirates to the tune of 65-15 on Wednesday for which the team can thank Hamblin, who shot 4-for-7 from beyond the arc and dropped a double-double with 18 points and 19 boards. She is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last five games she's played dating back to last season.

Riverton's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Cyprus, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Riverton will take on Provo at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. The Silverwolves will need to watch out since the Bulldogs have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Cyprus, they are taking a road trip to take on Salem Hills at 5:15 p.m. on the 12th.
