Soccer Recap: Washington Victorious

Washington won the last time they faced Central and things went their way on Thursday too. The Washington Rams' defense stepped up to hand the Central Bobcats a 7-0 shutout. It was an even better day for Sherlyn Benitez Gutierrez as she scored three goals for her team.

The victory got Washington back to even at 1-1. As for Central, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.

After both having extra time off, Washington and Cortez will dust off their jerseys to challenge one another at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Washington is facing Cortez at the right time seeing as Cortez is stuck on a three-game losing streak. Central will take on Maricopa in a holiday battle at at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
