Soccer Game Preview: Poly vs. Santiago

The Poly Bears will venture away from home to take on the Santiago Sharks at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Poly has given up an average of 3.4 goals per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Poly lost 5-1 to Corona on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Santiago's game on Wednesday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of Canyon by a score of 2-1. Santiago haven't had much luck with Canyon recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Poly's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Santiago, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 1-1-1.

Poly beat Santiago by a goal in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, winning 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bears since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
