Baseball Game Preview: Harker Eagles vs. Westmoor Rams

For the second straight game, Harker will face off against Westmoor. The Eagles will be playing at home against the Rams at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Harker is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.

On Tuesday, Harker earned an 8-5 victory over Westmoor. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Rams recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Matt Macmillan spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned (and two unearned) runs on five hits and racked up six Ks.

At the plate, Harker let Ryan Pham and Shaurya Jain run wild. Pham got on base in three of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one triple, while Jain got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs. Pham has become a key player for Harker: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 3-7 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Aarav Borthakur, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for Westmoor and nudges their season record down to 7-5. As for Harker, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.
