Hauser has gone a perfect 10-0 against Waldron recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Jets will welcome the Mohawks at 5:00 p.m. Hauser has given up an average of 10.1 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Hauser is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 12 runs on Friday, they were much more limited against Indian Creek on Monday. They lost 20-1 to the Braves. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Jets have suffered since March 24th.
Hauser saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Karlieann Viewegh, who went 1-for-2 with one run.
Meanwhile, Waldron waltzed into their game on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against Irvington Preparatory Academy by a score of 16-11. While the Mohawks didn't have the best season last year (they finished 0-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.
Izzy Blanchard made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out ten batters over 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off one hit (and only one walk). Blanchard was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with three runs and two RBI.
In other batting news, Waldron got a massive performance out of Brooklyn Rush, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Abigail Lockridge was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Waldron was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .474. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Hauser's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Waldron, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Hauser has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.8 hits per game. However, it's not like Waldron struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 4.7 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Hauser's way against Waldron when the teams last played back in May of 2025, as Hauser made off with a 12-0 victory. Do the Jets have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Mohawks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
