Gering entered their tilt with South on Saturday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. Their defense stepped up to hand the Bison a 2-0 shutout. Gering's winning goal came courtesy of Hope Mitchell.

Gering's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for South, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Gering will venture away from home to face off against Douglas at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Gering's defense better be ready for this one: Douglas have averaged an impressive 4.6 goals per game this season. As for South, they will host Central at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The game will give South their first taste of in-conference action this season.
