Basketball Game Preview: Ogemaw Heights Falcons vs. Farwell Eagles

It'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Ogemaw Heights Falcons duke it out with the Farwell Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday... Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Ogemaw Heights is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Gladwin on Thursday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Ogemaw Heights was beaten by Gladwin 80-45. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 384th, while the Flying G's are ranked 137th).

Meanwhile, Farwell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 38th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt a 70-20 loss at the hands of Meridian.

Farwell's defeat dropped their record down to 0-16. As for Ogemaw Heights, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-7 record this season.

Everything came up roses for Ogemaw Heights against Farwell when the teams last played back in February of 2024, as the squad secured a 63-22 victory. Does Ogemaw Heights have another victory up their sleeve, or will Farwell turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
