Volleyball Recap: Jefferson Area Comes Up Short

It was a Battle of the Birds when Jefferson Area challenged Hubbard on Thursday. The Falcons fell 3-1 to the Eagles. The Falcons were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

While Hubbard got the win, Jefferson Area sure made them earn it: two sets took extra rallies. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 35-33, 23-25, 26-24.

This is the second loss in a row for Jefferson Area and nudges their season record down to 15-8. As for Hubbard, with the victory, they broke their three-match losing streak and moved their record to 14-9.

Jefferson Area does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hubbard, they will face off against Woodridge at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
