Caldwell has been on a difficult stretch since their win on December 20. They lost 5-1 to the Taylor Ducks on Tuesday. The contest was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but the Hornets couldn't quite close it out.

Caldwell's loss dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Taylor, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Caldwell will head out to take on Salado at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Taylor, they will venture away from home to challenge C.H. Yoe at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Taylor will be up against C.H. Yoe's rather soft defense (which has allowed 2.68 goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
