Softball Recap: Dunlap's Undefeated Season over After Five Games

If Dunlap was feeling good fresh off their 8-0 takedown of Boone Grove on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Dunlap fell just short of the McNairy Central Bobcats by a score of 3-1 on Thursday. The game marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Dunlap saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Claire Morris, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. That stolen base marked the first that Morris snagged this season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Dunlap fell to 4-1. As for McNairy Central, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-5.

Coming up, Dunlap will take on West Limestone in a tournament on Friday. As for McNairy Central, they will face off against Milan at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday.
