Northern Garrett is 9-1 against Keyser since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Huskies will be playing in front of their home fans against the Golden Tornado at 3:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Northern Garrett has six straight wins, Keyser has six straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Northern Garrett picked up another tournament win on Saturday. Everything went their way against Lincoln as they made off with a 14-4 victory. Considering the Huskies have won nine matches by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Devin McKenzie and Wally Brands did most of the damage at the plate: McKenzie went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Brands went 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Hunter Livengood was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Keyser and Mountain Ridge, and Mountain Ridge kept the tradition alive. The Golden Tornado fell 7-3 to the Miners on Monday.

Keyser saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Landon Tysinger, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.

Northern Garrett's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Keyser, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-11.

Everything went Northern Garrett's way against Keyser in their previous meeting on April 1st, as Northern Garrett made off with a 17-0 win. Will the Huskies repeat their success, or do the Golden Tornado have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
